As I enter my last week of filming on the set of K-11, I find myself reflecting on the process I’ve just been through and the education I’ve had. Being on a movie like this, for this long, has been an incredible experience for me. It’s not too often that we learn so much, so quickly and on a daily basis – and yet for the past three weeks I have done nothing but that. Learn. Understand. Grow as an actor (and as a human being) – and I’ve loved every minute of it. The movie itself looks simply stunning, and trust me when I say you’re going to want to see this thing. Some of the performances have been really intense, and I hope that I threw myself in at the deep end and went for my scenes with even a fraction of the commitment that the other members of the cast displayed.  And witnessing writer/director Jules Stewart command the set is something that I will never forget. She is the real deal, a force to be reckoned with, and is a fierce talent. I want to thank everyone involved with K-11 for a fantastic month, and for allowing me to be a part of it all. I know I’ll be seeing all of you again real soon.

And so I gradually turn my attention to the next thing that’s sliding down the pipeline towards me! I know that I’m excited to get into Billy Idol mode again and begin rehearsing for the West Coast shows in October. Playing guitar is in my blood and any time I get to do it makes me happy. Add some Camp Freddy Arizona action into the mix, and later in the year, some Xmas Freddy cheer and a quick acoustic show in Mexico and I’m feeling pretty good. And talking of the Billy Idol October shows, if you are following Billy on Twitter you will know that we are letting the fans help us decide on what Generation X songs to play. Now this is extremely cool for me, because I was a huge Gen X fan back in the day and the songs up for grabs are all favorites of mine. We have 100 Punks, Night Of The Cadillacs, Paradise West 1, and Love Like Fire that we’re considering. Of course, I know what I WANT to get the vote – but I don’t wanna sway anyone at this stage. Lets see what you guys want to hear…. But either way, we’re gonna play some cool Generation X for sure. Check out this video of ‘Ready Steady Go’ from last year’s European tour.

Morrison’s thought of the day: If I had written down everything that I thought I wanted 15 years ago, I would have drastically short-changed myself. Life is in session and we have no idea what it’s going to throw at us. THAT’s the fun of it all! See ya next time.
